Fiber

If you’re in need of setting up a computer or data network for business or personal reasons, there are several pieces of equipment that you’re going to need in order for your network to function properly. Fortunately, Gruber Communication Products has everything you need to get started, including bulk fiber, fiber cable, fiber panels, fiber enclosure set-ups, other fiber tools, and everything else in between!

  • Cables

    Cables (62)

Gruber began making Fiber Optic cables and products early in the creation of this exciting new way of transferring data.

As early pioneers, we have decades of experience manufacturing even the most complicated types of multi-conductor fiber assemblies, all made in the USA, with Lifetime Warranty.

  • Bulk Fiber

    Bulk Fiber (76)

Gruber Communications offers a great selection of bulk single mode fiber cable and bulk multi-mode fiber cable for all of your business needs. Essentially, single-mode cable is smaller, but is able to transmit data over a longer distance, while multi-mode cable is much larger and is used to transmit data over shorter distances. If you need to transmit data over a long distance, then single-mode bulk fiber cable is your best bet. With a core between 8 and 10 microns in diameter, these cables can transmit data up to 40 miles with a bandwidth of 1Gb’s. However, single mode transmitters typically use solid-state laser diodes, which are two to three times more expensive than mlutli-mode equipment. Multi-mode fiber optic cable bulk, which are larger and have more bandwidth, are capable of transmitting data over a few miles, but running the cable that far will limit the bandwidth from 10Mhz to 30Mhz. It’s important to consider all of these factors before you decide which type of fiber optic cable is best for you.
  • Connectors

    Connectors (28)

A fiber optic connector allows you to join optical fibers together. The device is placed at the end of the cables, essentially combining and precisely aligning the cores of the fibers so more light can properly pass through. Using fiber optic cable connectors eliminates the need for splicing wires, which is a time-consuming and tedious process, especially if you frequently need to connect and/or disconnect the cables.
  • Panels & Enclosures for Fiber

Panels & Enclosures for Fiber (9)

If you’re setting up a simple or an extensive fiber optic cable network for your business, it’s important to have the proper fiber optic patch panel or fiber optic enclosure to keep your cables safe and working properly. Depending on your set-up and the space available to you, you can choose either a rack mount fiber patch panel enclosure or a wall mount fiber patch panel enclosures.
